Thank You
Whoever posted the recipe for Turkey Chili.......THANK YOU!!
I tried it this weekend, and I absolutely loved it, and even better, my husband and 2 year old son loved it too. I have been getting the best recipes from you all, and not only am I eating better, but my family is eating better too. Who knew that having this surgery would not only benefit me, but my family so much as well.
But the best part of all of this, my husband is actually giving my recipes to his own mother. Thank you again

Turkey Chili (I'd like to say Christy's Turkey Chili, but it is OH's Turkey Chili
I also have this posted to my blog as well.
1 pound ground turkey
28 oz diced tomatoes (I used petit diced tomatoes with onion)
1/2 large onion chopped
1 tsp minced garlic
1 can pinto beans
1 can green chilis ( I didn't use this)
*1 tsp salt
*1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
*1 TBSP cumin
*5 TBSP Chili powder
The * ingredients I didn't have at home, so I improvised and used 5 TBSP of Tastefully Simple Wahoo Chili. My husband thought that it was too spicy for him, so next time I will just pick up a packet of McCormick's Chili Seasoning to use.
So I browned the turkey using a little Olive Oil Pam. Added to the crock pot, Using the same warm pan, I added the chopped onion and garlic and let it get soft. Added the beans and diced tomato/onion (I did not drain any liquid) to the crock pot. After adding all of the ingredients, I thought that the chili appeared to be a little dry, so I added one can of FF Chicken Broth.
I hope you enjoy.
