I had my surgery 2 years ago this past February...I haven't tried eating pork chops yet...I am wondering how many of you do eat them? Do they hurt your tummy any?  How do you prepare them?  Any advice will be greatly appreciated...Thank you

I eat porkchops - very rarely but I do. I put mine on the George Forman grill (so that all the fat drips out.) I usually just season it with some garlic salt and pepper or Adobo. I'm not a pro at making porkchops so that they aren't a little on the dry side (guess I'm always too scared of not cooking it all the way) so I usually have some pork (or mushroom) gravy to dip it in.

Thanks for your suggestions...Hmmm, you mentioning gravy gives me an idea...perhaps I could cook the chops and then put gravy on them, and just bake them slowly in the oven or crock pot until they become tender...maybe I could add a potato, baby carrots also...yummy, the thought of it makes me hungry...Wonder if I could do the same thing but instead put some of my homemade barbecue sauce on them....hmmm might have to try that...Have a great day...Thanks

Cowboy has a really, really good recipe where you smear mayo on them and add parmesan cheese, then bake.   I do this with chicken.  It is soooooooooo yummy.  Nice crispy crust from the cheese and soft moist meat.

Good Luck

I cook mine lots of different ways but one that my husband really likes is I take a can of no sugar added apple pie filling and cover the pork chops and bake covered on a low setting until they are cooked through then take off the foil and let them brown a little.  I always serve his with stuffing so he can mix the apples in with the stuffing.  It's really yummy.  I don't eat the stuffing but I do eat the chops.  They are good.

There is a great recipe that Cowboyonfire has, I just posted it yesterday on the VSG forum. The pork chops are great and I never had trouble eating them. See the VSG forum the recipe is there.
Good luck!
