Today is my first day of the next stage of eating. I am now 2 weeks post op. Can anyone tell me what I can eat for breakfast? I am hungry for real food! I know I can't eat solids YET, but if anyone can suggest something that will taste good and is safe for me would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Marilyn

At 2 weeks I was forming a stricture and not eating much more than runny things but I did love, love, love my cream of wheat and cream of rice cereal for breakfast.  It was only the 1-2 oz. from your sheet Merrilou gave you but so delish!   You can jazz it up with a sprinkle of some really good quality cinnamon (have you tried Saigon Cinnamon---oh my gosh!) or a measured teaspoon of sugar-free jam or jelly.

I didn't try it but I know some people who took scrambled eggs or egg beaters and then put them in the blender.  Didn't sound appealing to me, but who am I to talk...I am the gal who put tuna in the blender with mild salsa and made yummy stuff that looked like cat food.

You are using tiny serving cups and baby spoons, right?  That was so helpful to me in the early days and I still eat from them today although I have graduated up to slightly larger custard cups and saucers.

Hang in there, these early days aren't fun but you are doing so great!
