I want to make the Shrimp Scampi recipe in the WLS cookbook called..
Eating well after WLS by Patt Levine.
It calls for white wine in the recipe. I don't drink wine so have no idea what to look for in a white wine. Can anyone help in what kind would do well in a shrimp scampi recipe. It calls for 1/2 cup, I will also try to find more recipes to use the wine in.  If you have a name and name brand of the wine, that woudl be helpful. I will be buying it from my local grocery store.
thanks,

I like to use Almadin, its a nice all purpose white wine.

you could also replace it with chicken stock in the recipe

really? I always have chicken stock in the pantry. I bought a white wine, and made the recipe but didn't like it at all. Maybe because of the wine, I don't know.
I couldn't find the wine that the other poster suggested, so I had to purchase a different one.
I may give this recipe another chance with using only chicken stock.
thanks for the suggestion
