Ok....let's get down to brass tacks here....  i'm a man and i like meat...period....So when I want something with virtually no carbs and very little fat and super low calories, then this is what I love.... Savory Roast in a crockpot take whatever kind of roast you prefer.....as for me I like a rump roast, but I've been known to try others....  the sze will be determined only by your amount of servings...  I like a 2 lb or bigger.... Place in crock pot Add just enough water to cover the bottom of the crockpot with a centimeter (remember your roast will shrink and give off water!)  Add one packet of Lipton Beefy-Onion soup mix (leave this DRY) shut the lid and turn on low for about 5 hours Add one tablespoon of balsalmic vinegar over the top of the roast, let stand for 30 minutes in the juices (do not baste!) Serve and make your family and your guests very happy... there ya go! T.

That's awesome, I've been looking for something else to use my big bottle of balsamic vinegar on. Do you have any idea how long you would leave it on if you put the meat in frozen?

I would cook it 10 hours if frozen, but those times would vary depending on how big the meat is...some people go as big as a 6 pound roast.  But hey, don't put the Balsalmic on till about 30 minutes before it's ready to serve.  Something about additional flavor... T.

See  thats a good Idea  about vinegar ,, I just use a can  ( small ) of  Jalepeno's  w/ juice  a couple cloves of garlic and let it go - salt & pepper  of course .  Shredded beef taco's anyone ??  use some  fine shredded cheese on a  shiny paper plate, spread cheese out evenly and cook about 2 min in microwave oven - then  fold over into a taco shell as the cheese is cooling off

I read this a few nights ago and today decided to try the roast "your way".  I've always made my roast with Lipton Onion Soup mix, but the balsamic vinegar sounded like a nice touch.  I had no idea such a small amount would make such a huge flavor impact, WOW!  Loved it...thanks!
