Shake Recipes...need new ones
Here's a few shakes my whole family loves...I have to hide from my 13 year old son to drink mine...or just make him his own so I can have mine...and drink fast before he finishes his and comers after mine! You have to freeze some bananas first...I do this with bananas that are getting ripe if I don't have time to make banana cake. Just peel them and pop them in a freezer bag.
BANANA MILK SHAKE
2 frozen bananas, cut into 1" chunks
approximately 1 cup of milk (soy milk is good too)
1 -2 packets of equal ( or artificial sweetener of choice)
1-2 T of peanut butter (optional)
1 scoop Any Whey unflavored protein powder
I use a 'Magic Bullet' blender with the cup, then just add the ring on top for drinking from it....blend everything until the banana is pureed. If it's too thick for you with two bananas, you can use one...I put two because I want it thick like a banana milk shake. The peanut butter is optional too...I like peanut butter banana sandwiches...and love the peanut butter banana milk shake...but if you're not that adventurous to try it or just can't/don't like peanut butter, just skip it.
My husband also likes this one:
GUAVA MILK SHAKE
4-5 ice cubes
1/2 C guava juice
1/2 C soy milk
1 frozen banana, cut into 1" chunks
1 scoop Any Whey unflavored protein powder
1-2 packets Equal or artificial sweetener of choice, if needed
Put it in the blender (again...Magic Bullet's a what I use) and puree til the bananas and ice cubes are blended in.
You can vary this one by changing the juice that's...you can skip the banana and just add 1-2 extra ice cubes...it's your choice.
Hope you like them.
