Oatmeal

I have a box of instant weight control oatmeal, banana bread flavor...can I use this in recipes that call for oats or oatmeal?  I love oatmeal but I can't eat it as a hot cereal makes me gag.  I made banana muffins this morning and was just wondering if I could use it in place of other oats too?? 

Ok the only thing I can think that might be a problem is the salt and sugar content of the oatmeal and adding more to the recipe.  I would say you could add it to muffins or something else that is a sweet treat but jus****ch the amount of sweetner that your adding.  I hope this helps. Marylin
