Made me dump????
I made the Chicken Stroganoff recipe I got here last night. It made me dump something awful and I'm not sure why. Anyone have any ideas?? It lasted a good 2 hours and was excrusiating.
This is the recipe:
1 can cream of mushroom
1 can cream of chicken
1 container of sour cream
1 packet onion soup mix
1 can mushrooms (I used fresh)
chicken
mix and cook in crock pot for 6 hours on low
serve over pasta for the rest of the family
Any suggestions as to why I would dump on this?? It was soooo good!!
Stephanie,
My only suggestion would be the fat content. Sometimes I dump on fatty or fried foods that have NO sugar at all. If the soups were not low fat and the sour cream low fat, depending on how far out you are, that may be it. Also, if you ate any pasta, sometimes that can bother, but you said for the rest of the family!! My only suggestion, b/c it sounds really really great.
Good luck on your journey, it is an adventure to say the least, some things that have never made me dump will now at 15 months out and some things that used to dont now, so its all trial and error!!!

I'm sorry you dumped for 2 hours OMG I've never dumped that long---did you eat noodles?? I stay away from them because they do make me dump--but i've had this recipe before and it was fine for me---our new tummys can be fickle--one day things are ok and the next you feel like you ate a lead brick---sorry it happened not sure as to why--hopefully it won't next time
I did have 4 ziti noodles ~ I have always been sensative to pasta so maybe that was it?? I don't know and it's upsetting me because it was SO GOOD! I have rarely found anything that actually tastes good since surgery and when I took the first bite I was so excited because I said OMG this is wonderful. The rest of my family loved it and my 2 year old actually asked for seconds and she is so extremely picky so I will make it again. I don't know if I'll brave it without the pasta. UGH this is so frustrating even 13 months out!!!
