A Tasty Mushy Veg Recipe

I love guacamole, but it's so high in calories & fat (though it's the good kind of fat) that I hardly ever eat it.  Adding broccoli reduces the calories & fat, but still has the flavor and texture of guacamole. BROCAMOLE

1 ripe avocado, peeled & pitted
1 bunch broccoli, cut into crowns
2 tbl red onion, chopped
4 garlic cloves, minced
2 tbl lime juice
2 tbl fresh cilantro, chopped
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 pinch salt
1+ tsp hot sauce or to taste

Steam the broccoli until tender.  Put in a food processor with the rest of the ingredients and process until smooth.

16 servings, each: 37.9 calories, 4.1 g carbs, 1.9 g fiber, .8 g sugars, 2.1 g fat, .3 g saturated fat, 1.8 g unsaturated fat, 1.4 g protein, 36.9 g sodium
