Ham and Cheese Breakfast Biscut

 

 

1 cup unbleached flour 1/2 cup oat bran 2 teaspoons baking powder 3/4 cup nonfat buttermilk 1/2 cup shredded nonfat or reduced-fat cheddar cheese 2 ounces ham (at least 97% lean), chopped up into little pieces Mix everything together except cheese & ham.  Stir in cheese & ham.  Grease baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.  Drop heaping tablespoons of batter onto pan aprroximately 1 inch apart.  Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes or until lightly browned.  Serve hot.   Makes 8 biscuits. Nutrition facts per biscuit: 98 calories .9 g fat 6.7 g protein
