Refried Beans Recipe

I am looking for a recipe  for refried beans.  I have no experience cooking beans of any kind (I never liked them), but my husband loves them and he is only 6 weeks out (I am 9 months out) so I want to make them for him.  I am afraid the kind I would buy at the supermarket would have too much sugar.  Doesn't matter if the recipe is easy or complicated - I consider myself a fairly accomplished cook so  I will try anything. I consider myself to be only a mediocre cook. So I buy them in a can. I can totally understand being worried about sugars, but if you look for natural or organic items, they are often a lot better. However, I am extremely picky about them! I don't know if you have Kuner's brand near you, but they have canned refried black beans with lime juice that are soooo yummy! (I can usually find them at SuperTarget.) I add more lime juice and puree them to a little smoother, then add a little cheese to my 1/4cup! Even if you find a recipe, maybe black beans and lime juice will be a nice alternative someday!

Drain a can of pinto beans really well. Put in a skillet on medium and be prepared to stri them continually Sprinkle chilli powder  While stirring start mashing them a little Get a potato masher and mash more Add a little beef broth Mash and add beef broth until the refried bean consistently. Add any type of hot sauce DONE.  Very easy.

I dont have a recipe, but if I were to make them, heres what I would do... Put pinto beans in plenty of water, and boil them until they were nice and soft...Could also put them in the crock pot...Once soft, drain the water...Mash them up with potato masher, or if you have food processor...Put beans in a skillet, or back into crock pot...Add some, finely chopped onions, garlic ( chopped or powder)...Perhaps some taco seasoning mix...Salt and pepper...finely chopped green peppers ( opt )...If you like them spicier guess you could add some hot sauce, or hot peppers...You can get taco seasoning mix that is hot or mild...Once everything is added, allow to just cook slow until onions, peppers are soft...You could also add black beans to the pinto beans...Might have to add a touch of water, or beef broth if too thick...Hope this helps some...

Many people will walk in and out of your life, but only TRUE FRIENDS will leave footprints in your heart...And may that friendship have such a ONENESS that when one weeps the other will taste salt...Friends are like balloons ; once you let them go you can't get them back....So I'm going to tie you to my heart so I never lose you.
