Can someone help a girl out with how to roast asparagus?  I've never even bought asparagus before, but think roasting it would be good.  Thanks! Julie

Much Love,
Jules

i just toss them in a little olive oil and spread on a baking sheet.  sprinkle a little salt and pepper on them or whatever spice you like.  and the bake it at 450 degrees.

Julie The directions above are good, additionally you might want to use a veg peeler on the woody bottom part of the stalks  It it is too fibrous, might be tough to digest, besure you chew really well. It was on my list to avoid for the first few months after my VSG.   Ive eaten it, but I only eat the tender tips. Enjoy, it is yummy.

I like to spray with non stick spray and then add pepper, salt, garlic powder, onion powder and then put them on the top rack of the BBQ for about 15 minutes. They turn out wonderful. Again watch the bottom half they can get stuck. OUCH

My favorite is grilling...brush with a bit of olive oil and sprinkle with some coarse salt and grill, turning frequently until bright green and still has some crunch to it. A far cry from the icky canned asparagus I grew up HATING! Yum.
