Does anyone currently cook with tofu? I would like to try it, but I don't even know where to begin! What is a good brand? What are good ways to prepare it? Thanks!!!

Hi!  I use tofu and it's easy.  The easiest type to work with is Firm or Super Firm.  It cooks the best and keeps its form.  Brand hasn't made a difference for me.  I put small cubes in egg drop and hot & sour soup.  Just use the packets you find in the grocery store.  You can also stirfry it with veggies, beef, chicken, or seafood.  Tofu doesn't have a taste of its own.  It takes on the flavor of whatever it's with.  You can use any seasoning and get great results, jus****ch the sugar content of the sauces you buy.  I like soy and stirfry sauce.  You can also substitute it for any meat.  So instead of beef and broccoli you can have tofu and broccoli. Good luck!!!!!

I use it a lot.  It's also good cubed in a salad with a few spritzes of those salad spritzer dressings.
