Freezing a Cream-based soup?

I"m making Octopus soup and I wondered if I had to eat it all up while its fresh, or can I freeze some, or? The soup has:  Octopus Artificial crab zucchini carrots onions mushrooms onions cream-of-celery soup (condensed Campbells)  Neufchatel cheese The soup is pretty low in carbs, a bit high in fat, and very high in protein... and I'm not sure if I'll be able to eat it after I have surgery in 18 days or if I should just enjoy it this weekend and toss out the leftovers after the weekend and not try to save it for the future.

Sorry I missed your post I hope things are going well for you, it should be about surgery time. I have frozen cream of brocilli soup so I wouldn't see why this won't freeze.  It may be a little curdled when you warm it up and then again it may be just fine, even if it's curdled it will still taste ok.   Good luck with your surgery and let me know what you did with the soup.  I don't like octopus, but I do like the oyster and calm cream soups.   Marylin

The cats thought it was delicious, but hubby says the cat boxes were RANK afterwards! :)  Next time I'll try to freeze it. It'll be a while before I make more though. :) Thanks for your response. =-)
