I hope everyone's weekend was good.   I have another question for everyone. when you were 6weeks postop, did anyone have anything they were craving for. Like I am craving italian for some reason. If you did, how did you satisfy the craving if at all. I don't want tomato sauce(and know I really can't have that acidity). So I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions on what I could do.   thanks Carrie W.

I wanted a toco so bad and the now ex mother in law was fixing them for the kids so I blended up all the fixings in the blender and tada left off the shell.

Just making things with the same flavors seemed to help.  Like italian-I put ricotta cheese, a little sauce, and some skim mozzarella in a bowl and microwaved to melt the cheese.  Yum....  Since it doesn't take much to fill you up at six weeks just getting the flavor can do the trick.  Good luck..

I make the same type of filling stuff that I'd use for my lasagna & eat that - it is wonderful!! Brown up ground turkey (you can pulse it a few times in the food processer after it's browned to make it easier for you to eat). Mix with some tomato sauce. Spread into bottom of a casserole dish. Sprinkle with some parm cheese. For the ricotta filling I mix 1 egg, parsley, parm cheese, onion powder, garlic powder & black pepper to a container of ricotta. Mix together well & layer over top of meat. Top all of it with a little more sauce & mozzarella & parm cheeses. Bake at 350 until hot & bubbly.  Let sit at least 15-20 minutes to let the cheese layer set up or it will be runny. Once you are able to have them I use grilled eggplant & zucchini (cut lengthwise) as "noodles"!! I really love it!!! Good luck!! Enjoy!!! Cece
