I love cabbage rolls! And am not sure if I can have them after the surgery any thoughts on that? If anyone has a recipe please let me know! I am scheduled for surgery 02/13 so I know it will be awhile before I can have them (if ever!) Please let me know. Thanks Michelle

Michelle I am a newbie also (surgery 1/14/08) but my post op papers say no cabbage or other gassy foods for at least one month post op. That said once clear I intend to make a lazy man's stuffed cabbage in my crockpot. Just mixing the ingredients and eating it almost like a chili instead. I also use ground turkey instead of ground beet.

Sure, you can eventually have them agian but it will be a while. You aren't recommended to eat salad or lettuce for about 5 months after surgery. I would think if you have cooked cabbage so it is more soft, then you could have that much sooner. Misty
