Peanut butter protein idea

I saw on another board that someone eats peanut butter on toast. I've always liked that as well. It got me thinking that you could soften your peanut butter in the microwave for a few seconds and then mix in some vanilla, or even chocolate, protein powder for a boost. You wouldn't need as much of the peanut butter so your fats may be a bit lower. Something to think about.

I make a low-fat PB/Choc Protein fudge based on this... 1/4 c. reduced fat margarine 1/2 c. Better Than Peanut Butter (a little lower prot, but much lower fat than reg PB) 2 scoops of chocolate protein powder 2 T of Splenda (10 packets) Heat the marg and PB on low heat to melt/soften then mix in the rest. It gets really thick. Spread in a small dish (I use a sandwich size square), refrigerate and divide into 9 servings Using the above ingred the stats per serving are... Cals: 104, Fat: 5 g., Carbs: 5 g., Prot: 9 g. Very tasty and very filling!

I'm SO hooked on this!!   I actually use 3 scoops chocolate protein with similar other ingredients 1/4 c. reduced fat margarine heaping 1/2 c. Chunky Peanut Butter 3 scoops of chocolate protein powder (chocolate powder and peanut butter are sweet enough for me so I scratch the splenda) such a great item to have in the fridge for a quick burst of protein or a sweet tooth fix :)

I tried this recipe just this morning. Let me tell I thought I died and went to haven. It is the best... What a fast way of getting my protein when I need some extra. I am 7 weeks post op, and somtimes I run a little short on my protein. This was a very nice treat. Thanks...
