Does anybody have a recipe for these little thingies . . . baked in the oven, bacon wrapped. I have a few different recipes for the crockpot ones but I heard about the bacon wrapped baked ones and wanted to know if there was anything specific I had to do. I'm thinking, wrap the babies, stick 'um in the oven at 350 and wait til the bacon gets done. Any input? La Wanda

Sounds like that would work to me. I make a bacon wrapped date thingie - stuff a half walnut into a date and wrap bacon around it, bake at 350 until bacon is done.

The ones I've made are basically just what you said except sprinkle brown sugar on them before you bake them. Also I bake them on my broiler pan so that the fat drips instead of the smokies "frying" in them. They are soooooo good!!!!

I forgot to say that I only wrap about 1/3 a piece of bacon around each smokie and hold it together with a toothpick. If you're making them for a party, I keep them warm in the crockpot.
