A friend on another board gave me this recipe the other day. I haven't tried it, but she swears that it is the best! Protein Balls Recipe The pb and oatmeal balls are VERY easy. 1 cup Peanut Butter (I use no-sugar-added Peter Pan) 1 cup rolled oatmeal -- not the instant stuff 1 cup protein powder (I use Matrix Chocolate, but you can use other flavors) 5 packets Splenda Warm the peanut butter in microwave about 30-40 seconds -- it melts it and makes mixing in the other ingredients much easier. Add the oatmeal, protein powder, and Splenda and mix well. (If needed, you can add a little bit of water to make it easier to mix) Roll into walnut sized balls, refrigerate. Store in fridge in zip-lock baggies. This recipe makes 20-24 balls

This sounds really good and easy. Do you know what the nutrition content is?

I don't know what the nutrition content is, but I think I read somewhere that the balls have 17-20 g of protein each depending on what kind of protein powder you use. You might could find an online recipe calculator and figure it out that way. I think you can also use almond butter instead of peanut butter to make it healthier or Simply Jif which is lower in sugar. If you make these, will you let me know how they turn out? I haven't made them yet. Jules

I made these a few days ago. I used Simply Jiff, chocolate whey protein, and the rolled oats. I only used one pack of Splenda. I find the Splenda a little too sweet for me. Just go by taste. They are very good. Even my husband likes them. Try them.

I just calculated the nutrition on these.......using Skippy Natural Peanut Butter, Oatmeal, and Unjury Protein Powder......it is only 6g protein per ball (5 carbs, 93 calories, and 6 fat).....assuming the recipe makes 20 balls. I'm not sure if I'll make these.....maybe......but I could get more protein out of a string cheese or some egg beaters or some cottage cheese.

I make protein balls, as I can't drink the protein power in milk or water. Here's my recipe. 1/2 c. powered milk 1/2 c. peanut butter 1/2 c. s/f applesauce 1/2 a bar of cream cheese (fat free) 1/2 c. of rice krispies 1 c. of oats l tsp. vanilla l scoop of chocolate whey protein powder some splenda or equal to taste 1 tsp. dutch chocolate powder Mix well, roll into balls, roll in a mixture of dutch cocoa and equal. YUm Yum
