Hi, With the cooling of the weather, I am finding that my normal morning protein shake with cold milk and ice is just too chilly (champion pure whey protein stack - chocolate usually w/ milk and ice, blended in my magic bullet). I have trouble eating solids still for breakfast, so I am looking for some ideas for a high protein shake/liquid meal that can be warmed and still taste good. Thanks, Dianne

What kind of protein powder are you using and how much are you adding to have it taste good? Unfortunatley, I am only able to do decaf, but my hubby and coworkers all do regular coffee...kinda makes it hard to make a pot of decaf, no one else drinks it! But, hey, I am thinking that is just what I will do since coffee has no carbs and I am very sensitive to carbs...eat more than 30 grams/ day and I stop losing weight. Ugh. Thanks for the help, Dianne

Hi, I just posted on the other board. I used a scoop of my GNC vanilla protein powder in a cup of decaf coffee this morning for the first time and it is absolutely wonderful!! I am so glad I tried this, your right with the weather getting chilly, I wanted something warm. I did not make a whole pot just for me, I only made about 2-3 cups in my coffee maker.

i've tried several different brands and so far, this is the only way it's "worked" for me without curdling. ok so i get a 12 oz. mug of coffee but don't fill it ALL the way up (leave out maybe 3-4 ounces-ish). then i take a cup of tap water (maybe 3-4 ounces-ish) and dump in one scoop of my protein powder (i'm currently using chocolate flavored body fortress whey protein powder - got it at the grocery store) i also use one sugar packet and one creamer packet (i've been going to mcd's lately) and then 4 of the splenda french vanilla flavor blends packets and mix it all up. this protein powder mixes really well but you have to add it ON TOP of the room temp or cold water. then when it's all mixed in really good you pour that into your coffee cup and viola! your very own protein packed yummy delicious cappuccino!! :~D

Thanks for the suggestions! I put vanilla protein powder in some milk and frothed it in my magic bullet then put that in my coffee. It was pretty good, but I couldn't get all the milk/protein into the coffee - it frothed up so much! Next time I don't think I will add so much milk and not blend it as long.

I warm my chocolate why protein. The trick is warm your milk in the microwave first for 1min 35sec Your temp should not go over 135digree's then add your protein. If you put the protein in the mico wave it gets nasty. I use a therm. to watch my temp. Taste good. Now it's hard to go back to the cold stuff. Neice

You might try Low Carb Spiced Chai latte w/Miccelar Milk (warmed) really good...I also like Matrix Hot Choco w/coffee or just warm the warm but not boiling hot otherwise it will curl...if you would mix your protein with a little cold water 1st and then add the warm water it won't curl on you..
