Hi there (an G'mornin'), Veronica! Not real sure if I should be responding to your post as I don't have any tofu recipe's for you...(but I do sort'a have an idea as to what to do with it, LOL!) I for one choose to stay as far away from anything containing soy due to the warnings on this as a food source. My thoughts are "ok yet another late, in-depth reports we need to contend with"...but why take the risks? So I leave it untouchable. I would encourage you, Veronica, as all else out there to do your own research on these latest findings and make your own decisions on it. So far I've read it causes malabsorbtion, heart palpitations, greatly effects brain function...and much more especially in child development. (I for one need all the brain function I can get!!) LOL! Google "Soy Warnings"... you just might be in for a shocker. Excellence in Health 'n Wellness to All! Terri ^i^ P.S. At the risk of perhaps coming under fire over the Soy craze by posting this...please do keep in thought that I sincerely care enough to have posted it.

I'm not allergic to soy or nuts and I'm not concerned about any "health risks". I have eaten tofu in hot and sour soup at my local Chinese restaurant. Today, I decided to go to my favorite one. The owner was there so I asked him what dish should I order. He ordered me a dish with vegetables - green peppers, red peppers, onions, carrots, water chestnuts, etc. and tufo in a sweet brown sauce - hoison sauce maybe. It was really good. The tufo was sliced to look like thin slices of chicken. He had grilled tofu the night before. He told me to buy the firm tofu in the refrigerator section to use in grilling recipes. Not to buy the tofu on the shelves. He told me to saute some thin sliced green onions, sliced water chestnuts, ginger and onions in sesame oil with Kikkoman lite soysauce. When the veggies are tender add the sliced tofu for a few minutes. He said there was no need to marinade the tofu. It takes on the flavor of the food you cook it in. Also, the soft tofu can be added to your shakes for thickness and dessert recipes where cottage cheese, yogurt, or cheeses are used. I plan to add it to my diet on a regular basis to replace chicken since it sometimes bothers my pouch and plus, I get sick of having chicken several times a week. JackieBel
