my coworkers are taking advantage of the new ice crusher/shaver we just got at my store and have bought flavored syrup to make snow cones with. obviously they're loaded with sugar so I can't even think about having one. I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to use like sugar free koolaid or crystal lite to make a syrup for it. I don't know if splenda will melt the way sugar does.

Hi Wynette, Target sells sugar free syrup for snow cones. I just bought a three pack with sf watermelon, cherry and blue raspberry. I haven't tried them yet, but am excited! Julie

I use the crystal light (or store brand) and 3/4 -1 cup water, mix well and store in fridge. I also found a recipe for using koolaid, 2 cups sugar (subsitute splenda) 1 cup water and 1 pkg kool aid of your choice. I have tried both the Kool aid I only use enough splenda to equil of 1 cup sugar. Depends on your taste.

I've used the Walmart cherry which is great. However, if you want exotic flavors you can order from this site which has an awesome selection. Enjoy. http://cornucopiasnax.com/snow-cone-syrup-sf-sucralose.html

I agree with Jannine. I just use the Davinci and Torani sf syrups. Makes great snow cones! Molly

Where do you buy the Davinci or Torani sf syrups? I have never seen them.

We have them locally in grocery stores in the coffee aisles, also at CostPlus World Market and both of these sites too. http://www.bariatriceating.com/gosufrsyda.html www.lollicupstore.com Molly

Hi Shell! How are you doing? Sue over on the RNY forum is also from Spokane and she told me to check out URI which is in the same company as Cash and Carry. I will definitely check them out this week. Just got a ginormous (accidental) shipment from DaVinci and it is waiting to go back. Makes me sad...two cases each of sf peppermint and sf pumpkin pie spice. They taste so incredible!!! I'll be ordering or buying more of them for sure. We have a Cash and Carry on my side of town that I'll have to check out for the syrup selection. Now that I'm an official syrup junkie it is a must! LOL Molly
