Beer Beef Stew
This started out with a recipe from somewhere online but I modified it a bit and I did some nutrition info for it...
Beer Beef Stew
Beef stew has a unique flavor when cooked with beer while the alcohol cooks out of the food, the unique flavors blend in and make it delicious!
Ingredients:
1 lb boneless chuck or round steak, cut into 1" cubes (I used stew beef)
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 package dry onion soup mix
1 soup can of beer
1 can tomatoes, drained or 3 fresh tomatoes, peeled and quartered
6 small onions or 1 small can pearl onions, drained (I used 3 medium onions)
4 to 6 potatoes, peeled and quartered
2 to 3 ribs celery, sliced in 2 inch chunks
2 to 3 carrots, sliced in 2 inch chunks
1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
(note--I also added a decent dash of my local store brand steak sauce, something I've always added to all beef stews)
Directions:
Place all ingredients in crockpot. Cover and cook for 8 to 10 hours on low. Serve with fre****alian bread with butter.
I can't eat a whole serving, but here's the per-serving nutrtion info without bread/butter. I won't eat all the taters and carrots in my serving either... For that reason, I scoop out more than I can eat so that I can eat the extra meat and not all the veggies.... LOL
