I am cooking Thanksgiving for my parents and I and wondered if anyone had a recipe where I could cook a small turkey breast in the crockpot - maybe with some cream of something soup on it? Thanks Denise

Denise- I've actually done this before. I did it real simple with just the turkey breast a little garlic powder and paprika. I didn't add any liquids as the juice from the turkey was enough. I guess you could add a little broth or some cream of mushroom soup, I found it wasn't necessary. The turkey came out very moist, just try to keep the lid on the crockpot as much as possible to keep the moisture in. good luck!

Hi Denise, I've done this too, but I don't add any liquid. I put Lipton onion soup over the top. It tastes very good. Lynn

Hi Denise, I never cook turkey any other way now! I spray the pot with Pam, put a bay leaf in the bottom of the crockpot, then the turkey. Pour 1/2-3/4 c white wine in, and season the top of the breast with salt, pepper, onion powder and sage. I agree....leave the lid on!! Usually I cook mine for 7-8 hours on low. The wine helps make the gravy extra yummy. Have a happy day Susan

I don't have a recipe for a whole turkey breast but my hubby's favorite sandwiches are the turkey breast ones I make in the crockpot. First I roast a turkey breast in the oven. Then I cut and shred it to bite-size pieces and put it in the crockpot. I then add a pkg. of dry Italian dressing mix, a small can of chopped green chilis and a can of low-fat chicken broth. Yum! I serve it to him on crusty bread or rolls and I just eat the turkey plain. Very good! Carolyn J. Lap RNY 9/20/06 (Down 45# today--Yeah!)
