Broccoli Slaw

Post Date: 6/18/06 2:32 pm I ate dinner at our local grocery store last night (They feature a meal every week and provide recipes and samples) This week was Broccoli Slaw and Braised Barbecue Spareribs. I don't do leftovers to well so I didn't buy the supplies for the ribs but I played with the slaw recipe to make it a little more WLS friendly - 1/2 cup of light mayo 2 Tbs. of Splenda 1/2 Tsp of paprika 1/4 Tsp of garlic salt 1/4 Tsp of celery salt 1/3 Vidalia or other sweet onion, sliced thin 1/2 cup of golden raisins 1/2 of sliced almonds 1 pkg. (12 oz) of Broccoli Cole Slaw 1. Make dressing: Whisk Mayo, splenda, sugar and spice in a large bowl until smooth. Add onions, raisins and almonds. 2. Toss broccoli slaw with dressing and chill at least one hour before serving.
