This coming saturday at 9 AM there are a amazing group of people who meet at Sunny Street Cafe in Haltom City, Tx. We meet at 9 AM and are ususlly done by 10:30. Anyone is welcome to come whether you are pre op....post op....or just in the learning stage. All we ask is that you let us know if you will be coming or not. This is at a pretty busy restaurant and we have to reserve seats. SO if you are in the area and want to have some good food and great conversations...please feel free to RSVP and come join us. Life offers us NO guarantees nor anything else for that matter. Life is what WE make it. Today I chose to make it a great day. Today I am so grateful for a program called Teen Challenge. My middle son has struggled with drug addiction since he was 11 ( he's now 26 ). 13 months ago he came to us after being evicted from his 3rd apartment and he hadn't had a job in months to ask for help. We adopted him as a infant from drug addict parents and he decided that he wanted to meet his birth Mom. We met and he saw that she was still a addict and had no desire to change. She looked about 80 yrs old and is only 58. He entered into Teen Challenge about a month later after he got off the heron at my home with me watching after him. For anyone with a friend/relative who has a drug/ alchhol addiction who is wanting to get off....it is not just for teens. It is for anyone up to and even older than 65 yrs. old. It has about a 95% success rate and is a amazing program. My son is totally drug free and a very amazing young man today thanks to Teen Challenge. So today I am so grateful for this program and my son. PLEASE share with us if you will what you are grateful for today. God bless you all.

We ALL have so very much in our lives to be grateful for no matter how large or how small they may be. Today I am grateful for the rain in the area even though I am not getting any at my house...the high today is going to be 85* it is usually way over 100* at this time of year here. Grateful for getting rain in August also. That is not something that happens too often in Texas in August. Please share with us if you will what you are grateful for today. Have a blessed day !!
