From what I can read you're doing everything correctly, but of course I'm not around you 24 hours a day to say for sure. With that said, don't fret.

I honestly believe a lot of folks go into these operations expecting to "feel something right away". However when I usually ask what they expect to feel, most say "I don't know - but I don't expect to feel hungry or I expect to feel fuller on a little". “True" hunger feeling may or may not ever go away. “Head" hunger NEVER goes away. As for a full feeling, that may comes over time.

I’ve have said IMHO I don’t think you’re eating enough. However, as I always stress TALK TO THE DOCTOR/NUTRITIONIST BEFORE INCREASING /CHANGE YOUR INTAKE. I strongly suggest you speak to your Doctor/Nutritionist today. Sit down and let it all out. Mention ALL of your CONCERNS. If they said you’re doing well, and it’s normal – take their word and relax a little.

Remember this isn’t a sprint race but a marathon. It will take: some time; trial and errors; patience; and getting reacquainted with your body before you will feel confident what you’re doing.

Good luck, and let us know how it turns out.

Good Luck on your Journey !!

Today is the day! I am going to get a fill! Hopefully this one will "work" and I will be able to do what I am supposed to do. I am really frustrated! May sound silly and I may regret this later today (or maybe tomorrow),but I want to feel some discomfort, some... something..anything...like, maybe, FULL...I have done everything I have been told, and it just isn't working! What am I doing wrong? I drink LOTS of water, I eat slowly, and only what I am allowed...maybe I will get some answers later today.

No matter what brand you buy, try to remember:

Keep the Calories low (try to stay around 150 or below would be better)

Keep the Proteins between 20 and 30 (25 is ideal)

Keep the Carbs below 10 (5 is ideal)

Keep the Calories from fat below 20

Here is a good site which can get obtain different samples www.vitalady.com/

Which Doctor did you see? If not your Bariatric Doctor, then it could be a piece of stuck food in the band, which will make it feel like a heart attack. The only way of really knowing is getting a fluoroscope. You may want to call him.

Topic: Chest Pains
I have been having chest pains and I went to the dr. today and my heart is fine.  I am wondering if anyone else has ever had this problem.  May be a band slip.

Hey there - I sent you a lengthy personal message about the protein question. ;)  Also, you will probably receive more responses if you post questions in the general Lap-Band forum as opposed to the specfic Realize Band forum.  For some reason, people that have both brands of bands just gravitate there as a whole. :)

It's best to call your surgeon and see what he recommends, they quite often have certain vitamins they want you to use.

Topic: RE: Taking fluid out
Tom is correct, this is pretty common with bandsters it takes some time to figure out where that elusive good restriction area is. Sometimes just the very smallest removal of fluid is all it takes and it's always better to be a little loose than too tight. Being too tight can cause all kinds of problems. People think if they are tight they will lose more but in fact that tends to make us eat "bad" foods because they go down easier. We need to be able to easily eat dense protein to make the band work most efficiently so never be afraid to get a little unfill. The worst that can happen is you end up having to put it back in.

Topic: RE: Vitamins What To Take-Another Question
I agree..the only reason I take a vitamin twice daily is because I am taking Children's chewable Flintstone's vitamins. IF my pharmacy carried the liquid adult vitamin that is what was the preferred choice, but it was OK'd by the doctor to take 2 chewable children's per day
