Topic: FRIDAY GRATEFUL POST
  Morning Everyone,

Happy Friday to you all.    The weekend is peeking over the horizon !!!  WOO HOO !!!!  Not many plans so far for the upcoming weekend.   We have to go clean out the storage unit that my oldest son has rented and take the remainder of the things there to his townhouse.    He is getting married in less than a month now.    It will be a very busy month for my family and his fiancees also.     We ALL have so very much in our lives to be grateful for whether we realize it or not.    Sometimes some of the things that we are most grateful we take for granted everyday.   This post is to remind us that even though life looks bleak for us at times.....we can always focus on the good things that have come our way and not on the bad.    PLEASE feel free to share with us what you too are grateful for today.    Here are a few of the things that I am grateful for........

For my Life and health,
Family and friends,
My WLS,
That my life is 110 % better since I have lost weight,
For my Faith and answered prayers,
For my future daughter in law ( she is one very precious young lady ),
For my husband's job, for our home and for our vehicles,
For all the blessings that come my way daily whether I see them or not at the time,
For support groups,
For Obesity Help and all the message boards here,
For the OH Events and all the hard work that goes into them to make them a huge success,
For everyone *****ads and replies to this post daily.
Have a blessed and safe weekend !!!

Hugs and blessings ~~~ Vivian

Thanks, Vivian! I enjoy reading your motivational quotes and good day reports. You are definitely a role model to us all!!! I would love to attend some events. Right now, I'm not really financially able, but maybe in the future. Thanks again!

I know what you mean, Kim! I have been married for 13 years, but after 2 kids back to back (they are exactly 12 months and 2 weeks apart!), I just couldn't stop gaining. I am down to the same weight I was when I was pregnant with my first, but I have the energy and motivation I had when I got married at 145 lbs. It's crazy, but I'm not complaining!!!

Glad it worked out. My doctor doesn't put it in terms of ounces, but cups. I am to eat 1/4 cup protein, then either 1/4 cup fruits/vegetables or 1/8 cup fruits/vegetables and 1/8 cup whole grains. I feel like I'm eating more than that, but I'm eating the right things. I called my doctor last week and even eating more than 1/2 at meals, I was not eating enough fiber to keep me full. Now I eat 2 eggs and a slice of whole wheat toast for breakfast and can last 6 hours until my next meal (which I have to do being a teacher). I think everyone's different and we all lose different ways. For me, adding a few carbs to my breakfast got me back on the losing track! I couldn't believe it. Good luck. I have my next fill in 3 weeks :)

Thanks everyone for your advice, suggestions, and encouragement. I got my answers. I WAS eating the right amount of food at a given meal (1/2 c including ONE oz of protein), the things I was NOT doing was eating enough other protein , such as cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, etc. So now I have to be mindful to eat those type of high protein foods and/or use protein powder to supplement. Also, apparently when one gets headaches (everyday) it is ONE sign of dehydration. SO that means even though I THOUGHT I was getting enough, I guess not. So, gotta be more mindful of that. I got filled to 5.3 cc. I go back in a month. So, all in all, I guess it was a great appointment. Thanks again, friends!

I wanted to ask what the outcome was in regard to getting your port fixed.  I'm afraid that I've just had a similar incidence.  The nurse stuck me MULTIPLE times...no one else has ever had trouble with my port.  Now I don't feel at all restricted.  I think she caused it to fail.  Now what?
