Topic: Surgery is scheduled

I am scheduled to have my band surgery on may 4.  Any suggestions on pre-diet strategies or protein shakes that are good.  I am extremely nervous but excited about the journey I am about to take in my life.  Any advice would be appreciated.  Thanks.

Hope they get you taken care of, I passed one once and thought or should I say prayed I'd die! Even childbirth wasn't that painful. Good luck hope to hear from you soon.

KatieKeane,

I would say clicking personal messages within OH is fine. In the 3+ years I have done this I never heard of anyone getting a virus from a PM. However, like any good "security" if your PM has a link attached within IT - you may want to refrain from clicking it unless (A) you really know that person (B) you verify the person sent you the link.

Yes, it's legit :D.

Not matter which band you chose, or whatever operation you decide - you don't even need to have an operation - no matter what know I, and the rest of us, are here for you.

And as a wise person once said "You're not in Kansas any more". Woof :D
Good Luck on your Journey !!

I think I may have kidney stones. I am running a temperature and have flank pain where it feels like someone is squeezing my kidneys. I don't know whether to wait until Monday or go to urgent care. My doc usually says if I go to urgent care I should tell them to admit me and he will be there when he can, because having Spina Bifida, and kidney problems, etc, he does not another doc who does not know me to treat me. As I stated in a previous post I WAS dehydrated, but I thought I was drinking enough liquids. Any thoughts?

Hi Tom C.  Thanks for the welcome!
Having Lap-Band on 27th
Not a big computer user, but thought I'd try this. Thought the support would be great to have.
So far made two friends, you and Kathie B.. And, I had one risque proposition from someone called Banilda ??? Nothing like welcoming me on baard big time.{HA}
Should I not click personal messages, if you don't mind me asking? Not familiar with using a site like this,  the do's and don'ts..
How do I reach the Lap-Band people. Sounds like the Munchkin people
in Wizard of OZ
Nice chatting
