I agree with Tom. I was just in the hospital for being dehydrated and I experienced constipation. Good luck with your pre op diet. See you on the Losers' Bench really soon!

Not sure if it's common, but it can happen.

(A) How much are you eating? -- not eating enough can make you feel sick

(B) What are you eating? -- make sure you are having a "balance" meal. Even if it's just liquids.

(C) How much are you drinking (I am talking about caffeine free products)? If you don't take in enough water, constipation could occur.

(D) Don't forget, your body can be going through the first stage - what I call the "detox" stage. Getting rid of those impurities (i.e. caffeine; sugar; carbs, etc) can cause you to feel sick.

Good Luck on your Journey !!

Is it common to experience nausea or constipation on the pre opt diet?  I just started yesterday and I am feeling very blah.

Topic: WEDNESDAY GRATEFUL POST
 Good Wednesday Morn Everyone,

Hope everyone is having a great week.    Not alot on my agenda for today as of yet.    This is a post to remind everyone that we ALL have so very much in our lives to be grateful for...whether we are pre op or post op.   None of us have any promise of waking up tomorrow or today for that matter.   There is always someone out there with more problems than we have.    Today we need to focus on all the blessings that have come our way no matter how large or how small.    PLEASE feel free to share with us what you are grateful for.    Here are a few of the things that I am grateful for today.....

For waking up this AM and for my home that may not be perfect but it is mine,
For my family and friends.
For my 3 sons and my future daughter in law ( May 13th ),
For my Faith and answered prayers,
For my weight loss and my WLS,
For all the different choices available for WLS,
For support groups that are so important to keep us focused and encouraged,
For being able to do so many things that 20 yrs. ago I would have never thought would be possible,
For Obesity Help,  all the message boards, and all the wonderful people here,
For the OH Conferences.......for the New Orleans's one in Sept.  that I am going to attend,
For all of you *****ply to this post.
Have a blessed day and week.

Hugs and blessings ~~~ Vivian
