I can't really help as I'm only 2 months out, but I have learned that Tom is the man with the answers. Everything he's told me has been right on, so whatever he says, I try to do

I have felt the same thing and I call it restriction. I'm not sure what it's actually called, but I know that it feels like I've gone too far and need to stop eating. I tend to get this when I eat too fast rather than too much. Hope this helps!

It feels like a million years since I've been on here, but I think it's actually only been about a week. Anyway, things have been great. I slipped up a little yesterday and ate a cupcake, but I walked it off at a science museum and amusement park. It was really cute because my son said, "Mom, you're not supposed to eat that. Remember, your surgery?" It put things back into perspective. Anyway, I'm now down 41 lbs and feeling great!

Kim,
You know me - Mr. Honest - so here I go. You are gonna do something wrong. We all do. Heck, even 3+ years out I still do. But with each "wrong" thing I do, I learn from it - and I try to not make the same mistake twice (or 3 times, or 15 times).
Remember, no one on this earth is perfect. If you DO do something wrong, we'll be here to help you.

Good Luck on your Journey !!

Being scare is par for the course. To be honest, I wake up scared everyday. I'm afraid that the "other shoe is going to drop" and I'm going to fail again. However I take that same fear, and embrace it - because it keeps me focused on staying on target.
As for "masking" the protein supplements, some companies (like Unjury) make non-flavored protein powder that you can mix into anything; depending on the flavors, you can mix them in: puddings; oatmeal; ricotta/cottage cheese/etc; de-cafe coffees (chocolate ones makes coffee taste like mocha); "crystal-light" (vanilla mixed with crystal-light orange tastes like a cream-cicle
Glad to see you've reached out to your Nutritionists and are planning on going to Support Groups. Just these two "simple" acts goes to show you're ready, and you'll be successful.
Good luck!! Know we're here for ya !!

Congratulations to you. I look forward to my surgery. It is scheduled for may 3. I am glad to hear that you had some success and no complications. I hope I am as lucky as you are. I am doing the pre-opt now and experiencing some difficulties, but eveyone here has been so supportive. Good luck in your journey.
