Thanks so much for the encouragement.  Everyone here is so great.  I need that support like many others.  I am a week and a day away from my surgery.  I am trying to get everything ready at work so I can take some time off after the surgery.  I need a break.  I look forward to sharing with you my experience.

SwedishBlonde79 - CALL YOUR DOCTOR!! I don't want to scare you, and it's probably nothing, but it could be something, and only they will know for sure.

I've always said, I rather hear "this is quite normal" than to hear "why didn't you contact us when it first occured".

Let us know what happens.
Good Luck on your Journey !!

Ok, I am 6 months post op and my port is killing me at night. I touched it during sleep and woke up screaming. I'm at 9.3 cc's and doing great other than the awful pain in my port. What could it be??

Thanks. The pre-opt diet was for me the most difficult time of this journey. There were times when I didn't think I could do it, but I kept telling myself that this whole process is going to be a challenge and if I could get through it I knew I would be successful. Just take it day-by-day. You can do it!!!

Topic: MONDAY GRATEFUL POST
  Morning Everyone,

Glad Easter is over.   I am about to toss out the sweets in my house that wasn't eaten yesterday.   They keep calling my name and I am truly ignoring them.   LOL  I was woke up at 4 AM to large hail stone****ting my roof and pounding our cars.   UGH Thank God it didn't do as much damage as I thought but still we do have some pretty good damage to our vehicles.    I am SO grateful it wasn't worse.   We ALL have so many things in our lives to be grateful for.....our homes, jobs, health, life etc.   This is a post for us to focus on all the wonderful things that we have been blessed with in our lives.    PLEASE feel free to share with us what you are grateful for.   Here are a few of the things that I am grateful for in my life today........

My husband of 34 yrs. and my 3 sons and future daughter in law ( May 13th wedding ),
My health and life,
My WLS and all the available choices for WLS to chose from,
My home, family and friends,
My Faith and answered prayers,
My OH support group and all the other support groups that I attend,
For the beautiful weather,
That our home and cars weren't damaged more than they were by the hail stones this AM,
For the upcoming OH Conference in New Orleans, La. Sept. 9-10.    It is going to be AWESOME!!!

Have a blessed week !!!

Hugs and blessings ~~~ Vivian

Congratulations on your success Amy and I know you will have a blast on the cruise.   It is easy to make good choices of food on the cruises because there is fish available at every meal if you want it.   Make sure to request your food with sauces on the side just like you do in a fine restaurant.   Have a blast.   I am jealous !!!

 Elieen,

You don't have to leave this board if you don't want to.   I post here Mon.-Fri. and I had RNY.    We are all in this weight loss game together.    We should all be here to support and encourage one another no matter what surgery we had.    They are ALL just TOOLS !!!   Trust me.....there are problems sometimes that arrises from all of them.    The sleeve is a very good surgery and you will be successful with it.    The main thing is for everyone who has had WLS to stay focused on what they are eating and make sure to exercise our bodies.     That is all the true secret to success is good choices and moving our bodies.   I wish you well with your sleeve and trust me....the people on the Sleeve board are as awesome as on the others.    Good luck to you.'
