Topic: TUESDAY GRATEFUL POST
  Morning Everyone,

Hope everyone got a good night sleep last night.    Did you know that if you get a good night's sleep it will help with your weight loss???   Well....it will.    I did a support group last month on that.   Very interesting.    This post is to remind everyone about all the things in life that happens to us daily that we take for granted.     It could all be taken away from us in the blink of a eye.    I think that everyone should be grateful and voice them to others about all the wonderful things that come into our lives on a daily basis.    PLEASE feel free to share with us some of the things that you are grateful for today.....here are some things that I am grateful for today........

Waking up today....somewhat rested,
My WLS and all the choices for surgeries for people to choose,
My Life and Health,
My Family and Friends,
My husband of 34 yrs. and 3 sons,
For having a opportunity to live the last part of  my life in a "normal size" body,
For my bariatric surgeon, his staff and for him caring so much about his patients,
For the rain that we have been having the last few days,
For my home, car and for good food choices,
For my Faith and answered prayers,
For my fur babies who love me unconditionally,
For Eric Klein who began Obesity Help, all the staff and people behind the scenes to make OH Successful,
For Support Groups,
For the upcoming OH Conference in New Orleans, La. and all the other OH Events this year.

Have a blessed day and share with us if you want to,

Hugs and blessings ~~~ Vivian

Thanks Amy.  I hope my brain becomes banded as well LOL.  I have lost almost 8lbs on the pre-diet.  I was excited about that.  Tomorrow is the big day for me.  I have loaded up on s/f popsicles and broth.  I am so ready.

Topic: 2nd Fill Not as Fun...
Not that the first one was fun, but this one didn't go quite as well. First, I went to my pre-conference with the support team and was told I am doing better than the average band patient with my weight loss :D. I was also told that the surgeon was called in to surgery and my fill would be about an hour and a half later than scheduled. At least that gave me time to go to the "higher end" Goodwill for some clothes that actually fit. Anyway, I finally went in for the fill. It was a different doctor this time and he was a little rougher than the first one. My esophagus wasn't cooperating and the liquid was just sitting in my throat. It finally went down and he put in 1cc. I took another sip and same thing, but it still went through, my throat just wasn't happy about it. He put in another cc and this time, it didn't go down at all, so he removed 1/2 cc. I wish I hadn'****ched the screen. I think the combination of watching the liquid in my throat/stomach and being able to see the staples around it must have made me anxious because I almost passed out. This has happened a few times before, but usually on the OBGYN table (sorry, Tom). Well, I made it through and now I have 3.5 ccs. I hope this will be the magic number. I was just wondering if anyone else has passed out before during a fill. They said it is pretty common.

I won't rehash what everyone else has said, but they are exactly right. I was really surprised at how my "emotional eating" has gone away for the most part. I don't know what it is, but the surgery truly did seem to "band my brain" along with my stomach. It's a lot easier to make good choices now. The fact that you've been able to do the pre-diet for 2 weeks already shows your commitment. Just don't beat yourself up over it and throw that candy away!!! Good luck :D

Congrats! The fact that you feel like e-mailing and talking about food is an excellent sign! I didn't eat for 2 days and the computer was pretty much off for the first week. Tom's list is also what I was given for the first 2 days. Good luck!
