I am grateful that this weekend I got to see my son and his family for the first time since August
I am grateful that my sons family did not recognize me when I came to the door
I am grateful that I now have a new hairstyle that matches my (so far) weight loss and the new way I feel about myself
I am grateful to be a child of God and that I know I am loved!

Katie,
I have seen commercials for this product and was wondering about it. Now that I know that a doctor recommends it, I will definitely have to try it. I am having trouble getting my 64+ ounces of water in everyday. Crystal Light is getting boring...Thanks for the info!

Hey Guys,

Last night  at my support group,  the talk with the doctor was about this new water product that's all the rage.
It's called "MIO", and comes in several flavors.   A little silver  bottle,  that you can take with you, add a couple of drops to your water where ever you are, or at home.
I'm having problems with water, my taste changed.   Just tried this, and can't wait to get other flavors.

No aspartame and 0 everything.
Hope it helps someone else.

For me when ever I got a fill I would feel restriction for the first week or so and then it would seem to loosen up a little.  The doctor said it wasn't the Band...it's my stomach.  There are two reasons first when you get a fill there could be some swelling at first and then when the swelling goes down the Band seems more lose.  The second reason is your stomach can become accostom to the fill.  So what seems tight at first will seem fine as time goes by.  So it's not your band stretching out...your band is sitting around living tissue.  Living tissue that expands and contracts on a regular basis.  Of course over time (like a year) the band does lose some fluid and will need a tweek every year to keep your current level of restriction.

Five day pre op diet? Is it a liquid diet? I was on the pre op diet for 2 weeks. Anyone else only 5 day pre op diet?
In any case, congratulations on the date! I am sure you will do well, because YOU know how much you want this! Keep us posted!

My family came today and when I went to the door to greet them they were in shock. They said they would not have recognized me, except they knew my face. What an awesome compliment! They are so proud of me. We all went out to lunch together and my husband and I shared a meal and brought LOTS of it home. My son was impressed with my self control. My daughter in law is a cosmetologist so she colored, highlighted and cut my hair today. Now my NEW LOOK matches my IN PROGRESS body. I can not wait to see what happens after I get to my goal!
Tom, remind me again, please..what does NSV mean? I know you told me once but I have a short memory hahaha

I've had 2 so far and after the last one, I had a lot more restriction than before. I still feel more restricted than before the fill, but not as much as I initially did. Does this always happen? Does the band tend to stretch out over time? It seems like if it doesn't you'd never need another fill. It would be right the first time. Any insights would be greatly appreciated...Tom :D (and anyone else of course)

Congratulations! The best advice I can give is to make sure you have a very firm pillow ready immediately after surgery and for the ride home. My surgeon gives them out at surgery, but if yours doesn't, a baby boppy would work great.
