  Morning Everyone,

Well....is everyone ready for the holiday weekend coming our way?   I have a great niece graduating from  high school on sunday.    Proud of all her accomplishments.    As we think about our life's journey and our WLS we ALL have so much to be grateful for.    Even if it is just getting in all our fluid's for the day or getting in all our protein.    PLEASE feel free to share with us what you are grateful for today.    Today I am grateful for.....

Being given another day to work on my life and make it better,
My Family and friends,
My life and heath,
For OH accepting me as a support group leader over 2 1/2 yrs. ago,
For knowing that even though I will never be perfect I am so much better than I use to be,
For my WLS and all the choices of different surgeries for the choosing.
For my Faith and answered prayers even though sometimes not the answers I was wanting,
For Obesity Help and all the different MB's here and all the wonderful people on them,
For the upcoming OH Conference in New Orleans, La.  Sept. 9-10.   Hope to meet you there !!!!

Hugs and blessings ~~~ Vivian

Topic: RE: What were your feelings right before surgery?
Sadly, I postponed my surgery.  I lost  my job on the Friday before the surgery, then all my family in Joplin have been devestated by this tornado, and I REALLY need to help them.  I and my family are Hurricane Katrina and Gulf Oil Spill survivors and we have supplies and knowledge that they need to help them through this.  I was so stressed over the need to help them and the fact that my surgery was scheduled for 2 days after the tornado that I just could not see myself going through one more major stress and have it be successful, etc.  I have my insurance for several more months, then I can go COBRA with it for another 18 months, so timing is everything, and this was not the time for that surgery.

I've been robbed! My grandbaby stole my heart!  She just raised her hands and I surrendered.

Topic: WEDNESDAY GRATEFUL POST
  Morning Everyone,

WOW we had a tornado pass over my home last night.   It was REALLY scary.   Thank God we are all OK.   I haven't gone outside this AM to see if there are any damage.   I think we are OK.   I was out in the yard......our city sirens went off and all the neighbors were out also.   One yelled at me and pointed up to the tornado headed our way.    Needless to say I went inside the house.    As far as I know it didn't touch down near my home.    We ALL have so very much in our lives to be so grateful for.   This is a post to remind us all that no matter how bleak life seems there is always a rainbow somewhere in there.    PLEASE feel free if you wish to tell us what you are grateful for today.    Today I am grateful for.......

My family surviving the tornado,
For my Life and health,
My WLS and all the choices of different surgeries,
For family and friends,
For being able to do things that I never thought possible before WLS,
For support groups that keep me on track and accountable to others,
For my home, husband's job, and my precious fur babies,
For all the good things that come into my life,
For my Faith and answered prayers,
For the upcoming OH Conference in New Orleans, La. Sept. 9 -10.

Hugs and blessings ~~~ Vivian

Whatever you do, you need courage.
Whatever course you decide upon,
there is always someone to tell you that you are wrong.
There are always difficulties arising that tempt you to believe your critics are right.
