Hi everyone havent been on in a while although I do try to read the boards a couple times a week. I finally got a fill yesterday after being empty for almost 8 weeks. It is nice to have some restriction again. Love the feeling of not being hungry all day long. When my Dr. did the fill yesterday under floro he said my band was looking good and my pouch looked normal. No stretching. That was definately good news to me I had been worried that something was wrong but I think now it was just to tight along with the gerd that was causing the problems. Dr. T said that he was going to be conservative on the fills this time and work our way back up to where I was befor I got to tight. mI glad that he thought this was the way to go definately dont want to get back like I was befor. I dont have to go back till Jan.6 2012 unless I have problems. Hope everyone is doing well and that we get more activity on here soon. I miss all the talks Take care and have a great day

So sorry to hear about you being without power for so long Tom.    I can't imagine what that is like and hope I never have to.     Glad that your power is back and you are back on OH.    I thought that you came to this board almost daily but there really hasn't been very much activity lately.    Have a great evening and hope you don't have a really bad fall and winter this year.

I am here too..not to worry. Just has been a busy Fall. I had a small set back the last couple weeks. I had to be unfilled last month, back down to the previous fill as nothing was going down and staying there. This time it was decided NOT to fill right now because I was gaining weight, yet was having almost everything stuck everytime I ate. I was not however having problems with "easy, slippery " foods such as frozen yogurt, popcorn and ice cream. Also snacking way too often. So I got off track a bit, but am working my way back. I was not chewing/preparing the food in a way codusive to it going down easily. But now I am doing better. Also, for some AWESOME news: I recently went clothes shopping(specifically pants) and I am now in a size 10 jeans (that is down from 20/22/24 (depending on the brand /style of the jeans. I am so excited. I also had to get a new winter coat as the one I had gotten before surgery was 2-3 sizes too big. Tom I hope the weather has improved so your life can get back to normal. Vivian, I hope all is going well for you and yours. I promise I will check back more often. Have a great day, everyone! You are never far from my thoughts even when I do not check in to the message board!

 HI Kim,

SO good to see you posting.   I sometimes worry about people when they usually reply to posts and then suddenly nothing for quite a while.    You also are never far from my thoughts and prayers.    I am sorry that you had to have a unfill.     I know that has to be tough especially if you are having some weight gains.    Reguardless of what WLS you have done those re-gains are hard to get off.     I myself are still working on getting off a fairly small regain from about 3 yrs ago.     So glad that you are down to size 10 jeans.    That is FANTASTIC !!!!  Proud of you girl.    Have  a blessed day and so glad that you are doing OK.   Pray you get your fill soon and trust me....winter is tough on the ole snacking habits.

Thanks for the encouragement Vivian! I know that if I put my trust in God there is nothing that HE and I together can not handle. A friend and I have started a bible study together, just the two of us reading the "bible in 90 days" and doing Rick Warrens Purpose Driven Life. We do it in the evening when the snacking issue is the hardest to deal with...I pray that gets me through the tough winter old habits!! Have a great day!

I am here and finally have a surgical date, the 16th.

I am both excited and scared.

Any advice and/or sites to read up on things would be appreciated!
