Well I had my surgery today and am at home and doing well. Hurting a good bit and all of the seating in my house is too low so i'm having to sit on pillows but it'll get better. I was advanced to full liquids today before leaving the hospital. Had potato soup and it was yummy. =)

Now just gotta figure out how to get comfy enough to sleep. I didn't sleep at all at the hospital for some reason.

Thanks for the thoughts and well wishes.

congratulations on your surgery....I had problems with my seating in my house being low....i just used alot of pillows and was ok....I did the same thing when I slept, i put 2 cushy pillows on each side for cushioning and took my pain meds and slept fine....hope it works out for you....

good luck with your weight loss....

Thanks ya'll! I slept on the couch because it's easier to get up from than my bed plus I hate sleeping on my back and on the couch I have no choice, I was afraid i'd roll over in bed. I only have 2 incisions, trying to decide if I could sleep on my side tonight or not. hmmm. I haven't been walking as much as I need to but today that's gonna change. gonna walk every hour on the hour. And oh goodness, I had runny grits this morning...how exciting!!! I didn't really enjoy them, and didn't want to eat them but i got them down because I know I need to take in something.

Chelsea, so glad all went well.  I am glad you are sleeping better.  Everyday does get better.  I never liked potato soup until after I got the band.  Hmmm....I guess your tastebuds do change.  I slept on my side after my surgery, but I was very sore and experienced difficulty when I tried to turn over.  As I stated before, it did get better.  Take care.
