I'm failing and i need help!
I am almost a year out, after fighting for this band and loving the results, im having issues, about a month ago I got a fill and got something stuck in the band... i was throwing up for 3 days and finally realized why i couldnt swallow... i went back and the doc took 8cc out of my band.. i had 10 in.. since then i keep having issues with eating, im always hungry! i will eat my "band" servings and will have pains by my port and nausated.. so i keep putting off going back and getting more in. Im scared it slipped. im also completly ashamed that i have gained back almost 10lbs. i had been doing p90x and hurt my foot and since have used that as my excuse for lack of excercise. I watch 3 (ages 2, 3 and 9) kids besides my 2 (ages 2 and 4) daily from 630-5pm and by the time they leave im whooped. i barely have enough energy to play with my own kids, cook dinner and do my homework for my full time college classes.. I need help and i dont know where to start. Im spiraling down a path i dont want to be... please post if you have any tips, advice, or anything... i need to hear it
I agree with purple39lady. You need to contact your doctor, so at the very least, he/she can reassure you that your band has not slipped. We all have set backs. You need to get "back on the horse"..every day is a new day. Don't beat yourself up for what happened today. Go on and get to tomorrow. And don't be ashamed. You have a lot of responsibilities, but you will not be any good to any of them if you don't feel well. Contact your doctor. Good luck. Keep us posted. We care!
I agree...I would talk to the doc and see what is happening...before I had the band, i was doing the insanity workout and hurt my knee and quit exercising...Your doc may have some insight as to what happened, they can do an xray to see if the band slipped or not...Hope they can find out what is going on....keep us posted
Yep time to visit the doc! He'll understand the weight gain since you aren't as full. Egads watching all those kids would send me straight to the snack bar!!! Anyway see the doc make sure the band is in place and all is well then maybe a small fill to get starrted again and just try to keep healthier snacks around and eat more solid proteins. Oh yeah and take a deeep breathe and relax it always helps!
I agree with all here. CALL YOUR DOCTOR!!! That's why they are there!!
Good Luck on your Journey !!

I agree with everything everyone has said here, but feel compelled to add my 2 cents.
I think you should give yourself a break, no one is perfect. Trying to be perfect can make a person crazy. I have always been a bit of an all or nothing person, and If I had one cheat (cookie, etc.) well then, I told myself I blew it, and got really down on myself. Next thing I knew the one cheat turned into a day, weekend, or god forbid weeks of cheating!
Talk to your doc, talk to the nutritionist, and remember its a journey. We are bound to take a wrong turn or two along the way, but all that matters is forgiving yourself and getting back on the path.
Best of luck!
