Hello all you losers!!  I have a question.  Have any of you still felt uncomfortable after 3 weeks of surgery?  It seems like first thing in the morning especially when I take a deep breath I feel a slight pain probably exactly where the band is around my new pouch.  About mid-upper stomach just below the breast bone.  It seems to go away as the day moves on.  I have read on this forum somewhere that cold weather has some sort of impact on the band.  It has been really unseasonable cold here in South Carolina in the teens and twentys.  So I thought I would ask and see what some of you said.  I have been drinking hot decaf tea and it feels real good going down.  Thanks!

Don't be too concerned about the pain. It is quite normal to feel pain many weeks out. While the procedure was minor, it still a MAJOR invasion to your system. Plus the the gases they put in you to "move thing around" can take a while to "expel" from your system.

With that said, I'm always a proponent to call your Doctor. That’s why they are there. I always feel it’s better to hear “that’s quite common" instead of “why didn’t you contact us when this first occurred".

Finally, band tightness can be affect by many factors. Many women feel tighter in the day because of morning bloat (got me what that means); also T.O.M. (no – not me) can affect tightness. Weather conditions; altitude; dehydration – can also affect the band.

Good Luck on your Journey !!

Tom, your the man!  Thanks for responding I was thinking no-body liked me.  Anyway I'm feeling better now, pain is gone.  Taking a deep breath is no problem.  Yes, you are right about calling the MD, but I thought about all of you first.  By the way, whenever I'm thinking about eating something I shouldn't, I bring to my mind your quote.  It helps me everytime!  I'm down 17 pounds in 3 weeks!!!  I will ride this wave as far as it takes me, because I know it will slow down soon.  Thanks again.
