Total unfill and still getting stuck
Hi Everyone,
I had all the fluid taken out of my band a little over a week ago, and I am still having problems with food getting stuck. My doctor said I have a large band, so I should not feel any restriction once the fluid is out, but I still seem to be getting stuck. Can anyone explain this or relate to this?

The only thing I can think of is that perhaps you are not chewing your food enough. It should be almost liquified before it is swallowed.
It's also possible that the tissue inside the band is inflamed or swollen from an earlier episode of food getting stuck thereby narrowing the stoma significantly. Try going all the way back to liquids for a few days and then gradually move on to soft or pureed foods.
Let us know how you do. If you continue to have problems I would definitely call the doctor's office.
