Can your band balloon pop?

I was wondering if your band balloon could pop? I had my surgery in May 2009 and have had 3 fills, but it has been over a year since I have had a fill. I heard a pop last night while I was watching tv. I did have some food stuck and that has happened more and more lately. Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

No, it cannot pop. However, if you have any concern at all you should call your surgeon. Also, if you are having stuck episodes more than once a week (even that is too much) you might need a tiny unfill for a little while. I am going to do that this week because my allergies are a mess and I have been stuck 3x in the past 9 days. Some were mild, but that is still enough to put my band at risk. When the allergies straighten out I will get filled back to a comfortable level. I'd rather fight the hunger battle than risk losing my band.
