Take one day at a time, we all have good and bad days, just don't let the bad ones get you down. This six months will go by quickly. I had all my pre-surgical stuff done in this time period too...endoscopy, cardio & psychologist visit.  Good luck and keep coming back here for support.

Just remember you're on (what I call) the Weight Loss Roller-coaster. There will be highs, some low, and some bumps - but in the end it all works out.

Not knowing what state you're in, in NJ many insurance companies demand the 6 month requirement. But (IN NJ) they don't care if you DO or DON'T lose weight. They just want to see you went through it. Even if you DO lose weight and your BMI falls below the minimum, you can still have the operation. It's just another hoop they want you to jump through. Again, this is in NJ and I am unsure what your state requires.

With all that said, Good luck !! Know we're here to cheer you on, and give support when needed.
Good Luck on your Journey !!

Tom

Thank you so much! DE has the same requirements as in Jersey, but I prefer it anyways. It gives me the opportunity to grasp the changes I'm getting ready to go through. I've NEVER been under 200 lbs from my teenage years to now, and I'm excited to be healthy.

Thank you sooo much for your support!

I just want to say good luck in your journey.  I know when I first went to see my surgeon, it just seemed like there was so many appointments and tests that I had to have done.  It seemed like so much to have to do.  But before you know it you'll be over all the hurdles and the 6 months will be over and then you'll be able to schedule a date for your surgery.

I just had the Realize Band put in this past week on 8/24, and I'm definitely glad to finally have it done.  Now I can start working on my weight loss goals, and becoming a "new me".

Thank you! I"m actually doing better on this lifestyle change thing, then I ever thought I would...I've been to the gym, have been eating healthy, and have lost 8.5lbs and it hasn't even been a week!

Good luck on your journey too!
