This is very common. One of the reasons is because you're not taking in the "normal" amount of vitamins; protein; calories, etc. However in 6 months the body readjusts, and your hair begins to come back.
This is also caused by the “trauma" of the surgery. Some other surgeries “trauma" also cause hair loss.
Some people use Rogaine, zinc or biotin (a “natural" supplement).
