I'm wondering if anyone has had a revision done of the following: realize band over a gastric bypass? if so I would love to hear how that went.

I had a gastric bypass in 2001. I lost about a hundred and thirty pounds and kept it off for about six years. Then....I started gaining and could not stop. After much thought and 50 pounds gained, I went to see a different surgeon other that who did my bypass. He told me about all of the troubles that people have when they do a RNY revision. He suggested that I have a BOB (Band Over Bypass). I had my BOB on December 26th, 2009. I have lost 43 pounds with very little effort on my part. I have some pain that flares up during activity so I have not had the chance to work out much. This pain is still a mystery and it may only be IBS. My gastrologist has me on a non-spasmodic drug. So far, it seems to be helping. BOB and I are getting along just fine. I just have to remind myself that the weight does not come off as fast as when you do a RNY.
