Prescription Meds

I am 4 days out of surgery and overall I am doing pretty good. Before I left the hospital, the pharmacist went over my medication list with me and told what could be crushed, etc.

The problem I am having is that I can't find anyway to take them that doesn't make me gag. I have tried adding the crushed stuff to water, juice and even Jello. Can't take it.

I haven't had my regular meds now since Sunday and even then, it was just what I could get down. I am not sure what went down & what didn't.

I go back to my surgeon tomorrow for a regular appt. and I don't know what to ask him. Any ideas?

Thanks, Jo

Crush them and put them in applesauce or pudding. You will notice a huge difference! As a nurse, this is typically how we give them to patients.

Let me know if this works for you!!

Oh the dreaded pills!
I got a pill spillter for those pills and I had no issues if I split them in fours and that works.
Take care

I crush them and put them in sugarfree choc pudding or Gerber's Hawiaan Delight Baby food.
