Do Fills hurt?

I'm 4 weeks post op and suppose to have my first fill in another week and half.   I hate needles and am scared.   Does it hurt?

I think every office is different...

My doctor numbs me before she fills me.  It's like a pinch for the numbing and I don't feel the actual fill.

I have 7cc so I've had a quite a few fills. I have never even felt the needle go in. They don't hurt me at all.. The only uncomfortable part of me is when my Dr is pushing on my stomach to find my port besides that it's all a breeze. One piece of advice, if you don't like needles, whatever you do DO NOT look at that needle :) You'll be fine...

My doc has tech do an ultrasound to find the port, area cleansed, an anestetic applied, and then the needle is inserted.  Slight pinch, nothing to worry about.  I was very apprehensive on my first fill also.  Piece of cake.

no piece of cake for me....my doc does not numb the area....one little stick and .......yep thats it

I hate needles too!
My surgeon does my fills and I have only had one so far about 2 weeks ago. He numbed the area with a tiny needle and before I realized it he was done. I really hate needles but it wasn't horrible at all. My reasoning with myself is I need the needle to make my new tool work, I made it through the hard part medically with surgery. Don't worry to much and don't what ever you don't look at the needle. Oh ....and don't going looking at stuff on you tube or anything like that regarding fills it will make something not so horrible very scary.

I had my first fill just yesterday and it didn't hurt at all. If anything could possibly be uncomfortable, it's the pushing on the port area to find the port. I didn't care for that too much...just cause I'm only about 4 weeks out and it's still tender.  I go back in 6 weeks to see how things are going. 

It's a breeze - -please don't be worried!
