Bread, Rice, Pasta are carbs that add no real nutritional value to your day. The object is to lose weight and simple carbs will turn to sugar and make you hungry again.
I was able to eat bread up until my 3rd fill in October, if it was toasted like a grilled cheese sandwich. Once I had a stuck episode, I said never again.
Rice I will limit myself to 1 tablespoon after I have eaten my protein, same with mashed potatoes, 1 tablespoon at a meal, and only one time a week, if that.
