First Fill questions
Did anyone else feel restriction right away after getting a fill?
It is possible to hit the sweet spot on the first try?
Yesterday... I got my first and I got just 4cc and I felt it right away. I had a odd feeling like the fullness the day of surgery but of course minus the pain. I think my surgeon thought I may be worried about the fill, I wasn't although I don't care for needles I know its what my little friend needs to do it's job. Compared to surgery it's a piece of cake. I do however believe I always had a fair amount of restriction from the get go because I waited till 8 weeks to get my first fill. The doctor said most folks go through bandsters hell and I seems to not have it for that I feel extremely blessed. I did start to feel more real hunger week 8 so I knew it was time for a fill. I did however lose close to 40 lbs so that's a reason to celebrate. :)
Hope you all have a great day and be safe on the roads if you have to be out. We already had 30 inches of snow and up to 20 more headed here today.

Geez the snow has taken over and I have no where left to shovel it too. lol
I am sure you will do great, I would say listen to your body first and listen to your doctor. I noticed your doctor is in herndon, va mine is in woodbridge, va. If you want someone to talk to about any questions you have and all I would be glad to help you. I have made so many friends here that have helped me and I want to pay that forward. :) take care and lets hope its not too much snow tonight :)

congrats on the weight loss. I actully had restriction coming out of surgery that stayed for a while too. Doc said that less than 10% have swelling around the band that gives a natural restriction. I waited until my 2nd month to have my first fill. They put in 4cc and had to back out some because I was actually not able to drink 6 oz of water without it backing up. Just enjoy the ride. I know others that took 1 year to get that first 40 pounds off.
With me, it was a real blessing. I was not able to function at work because I was soo tired (sleep apnea and the bi-pap was not working). 35 # later and I am like a new person.

Wow I guess I am lucky then... my doctor said I was a star patient little did I know how well I was doing. Today I am still drinking full liquids since my doc wants us to do 48 hours after a fill of full fluids only whi*****ludes cream soups and jello and pudding and all. I definitely noticed the full feeling right away and since some say it could get tighter as the fill kicks in I wonder if it will. I haven't had any issues drinking water or drink. I am a guzzler and even fresh out of surgery I was able to even after trying to just sip like a good girl.lol thanks for your input its cool how people before me help me figure stuff out. thank you!
WOW this is great the dr actually said i had a very narrow stoma I think that is the word and no fat around that area at all so it has taken a pretty good bit for me to feel restricted. I actually am at 7.5 and i am not there yet but I have lost 69 pounds in 13 months its a daily workout struggle. I hit the gym 5 days a week. I am trying to get 40 pounds off to get goal by May
