Hi and welcome to the board. I was nervous also before having surgery. The unknown and worried I would fail. I'm 3 1/2 months post op and I have lost 39lbs so far. I haven't had any trouble with me band thus far. Good luck with you surgery you will be just fine.

I was scared and felt the same way too. The best advice I can give is STAY INVOLVED on here, in a support group, somewhere and get yourself as educated as you can. I think being prepared and knowing what to expect really helps through some of the stalls and tough spots (like if you go through bandsters hell). Also, and this was really hard for me, force yourself into a new persepctive. Start trying to believe in yourself, know that you CAN do this, you really CAN. It won't be easy, but you are capable and you can and you are worth it. You will do great and congrats to you on your upcoming surgery. It's so exciting. :D
