Hiatal Hernia/Ulcer?

I have seen people talk about having hiatal hernias and ulcers. I was wondering what symptoms you had. I have constant burping (not fun at work!), sometimes pain in my chest, reflux (not all the time) and i take nexium 2x a day, and a gurgling in my throat/chest when i eat/drink. 
I know that we aren't doctors, but just was wondering if anyone has had any of these symptoms and what they found out about them.
Have found that when i take nasty liquid mylanta... it does seem to help.

I was under the impression that with the band you aren't supposed to have reflux unless you overeat, something gets stuck, or your band slips.  I probably am wrong, just that is what I thought.

As far as hernia goes I had a hiatal hernia and didn't know until they put the band in.  They sewed it up when putting the band in.

As far as symptoms, I had chest pain...similiar to the attacks I would get with my gallbladder.  And occassional heartburn, a bunch while pregnant.  That said, I was never told I had a hernia and they never looked.  So that could be from something completely different.

I am not a doctor but it sounds like you may need to go get an unfill or ask your doctor about it. Explain the same thing you have described to us and go from there. I have acid reflux and I did not know it until I got tested before I had m surgery and my reflux is better it got a little bad at one point because my band was too tight for a week. Just got see your doctor or call the nurse up it never hurts to ask.
